Concerns
Needs to gain some weight, he is noticeably slim out on the field. At 6’3 I would like him to be at least 220lbs.
While he does have the ability to throw into tight windows, occasionally I have seen him put the ball in harm’s way.
Moore is good about throwing the ball away to not take a sack or a TFL, there are times where he holds onto the ball or tries to make a play by running around and gets tackled.
NFL Prediction
I think Moore is a first round draft pick. He has the talent, work ethic, temperament and mentality to be a franchise QB in the NFL. I think he should stay at Oregon for his senior year. He should give himself another year to grow and mature before turning pro. His decision to transfer to Oregon and sit behind Dillon Gabriel after playing his freshman year tells me he seeks out good coaching and opportunities to learn. Who better to learn from than Dan Lanning and a 6 year starter in Gabriel. While that was a great decision he didn’t play much at all as a sophomore, and his freshman year at UCLA was really rocky. I think he needs a second year as the Duck's starting QB to solidify his growth. If all goes according to plan he should be a top 3 draft pick in 2027.
