On-Field Positives:

  • Throws on the run.

  • Good intermediate passer.

  • Can throw into some tight windows.

  • Throws with accuracy.

Physical Traits:

  • 6’1, 205lbs

  • Pocket mobility

  • Strong arm

Concerns:

  • I don’t think Nussmeier is an anticipatory passer.

  • He holds onto the ball too long.

  • Has a habit of retreating backwards.

  • Throws off of his back foot.

  • Misses easy short completions.

  • Had an 85% completion percentage against Alabama, and he was benched.

  • Only has 2 years of starting QB experience.

NFL Prediction:

I don’t see any indications that Nussmeier will be a franchise starting QB in the NFL. I think he's a day 3 selection and the potential of being a good quality career backup QB.
